West Calder High School required a selection of new study areas throughout its campus grounds. The need came from a lack of collaborative space within its open plan design and a desire to allow more out of box thinking among its students. The scope called for a a curved upstairs seating area with integrated power sockets and a high quality wooden finish to match existing benches from the schools opening. Though proven challenging with a multitude of complexities such as procurement of the birch wood used for the benches and a strict deadline for the schools reopening, Caledonia FRC's management and commercial team managed to provide the highest quality finish and provide West Calder High School with the spaces necessary to continue their educations.

Historic Building Office Redevelopment
Located on the banks Firth of Forth in Scotland, this Old Inn has stood for over 150 years and has been home to many businesses over the centuries. As a historic building it is subject to conservation regulations and had a host of issues relating to age. Caledonia FRC delicately planned and relined every wall, floor and ceiling in order to pull this building into the 21st century. a full rewire and above floor plumbing was necessary to comply with safety regulations and smart technology such as electric timer operated heating systems and switchless motion sensor lighting have been added. The main challenge on such a project is to streamline and modernise the building to be as effective as possible providing space maximisation while complying with the conservation requests from the council. Although some see this as a disadvantage when redeveloping buildings of historic significance, Caledonia FRC loved bringing the character of this old building to life while filling all the needs and requirements of the client.
Caledonia FRC are proud to say that our Commercial Bathroom Fitout suites are designed and manufactured inhouse. by cutting out the middle man in the traditional kit purchase and instal that most commercial fit out companies do we can deliver a product of the highest quality without an over inflated price. All IPS panel designs, flooring finishes, door finishes and near enough every finish seen can be fully customisable with graphic designs, colour sets and smart technology.
The bathroom suites used here are no longer traditional half height cubical designs but fully insulated partitions to provide a fully isolated room to the rest of the facilities.
This style of bathroom fitout is usually seen in high end showrooms and large scale commercial buildings but at Caledonia FRC we think every commercial space should have this level of finish.

Milner Road
A challenging extension plan with vast amount of structural works to support this 100 year old property. The plan began in the early months of December and has spread over 3 months to deliver the client the entertainment space they want. The steel beam construction holds up the entire back of the property while the old external wall is demolished to open up the space into a luxurious and spacious kitchen come dining room. The downstairs also features a new downstairs toilet with some of the most innovative space management we have used to date and a new utilities room which again maximises the available space. Milner road has become one of the best looking extension developments on the street and has no doubt added significant value to the property, and not just in terms of market resale value.
